How long will I be Rafting/sledging for?
Kaituna River 45min - 1hour, Wairoa River 1hr 45mins
Do you provide transport?
Yes. Pick up from Rotorua central accommodation and the information centre.

Do you provide wetsuits?
Yes. We will supply you with all the river clothing required for rafting or sledging. Wetsuit, Fleece jumper, Splash Jacket, PFD (Personal Flotation Device), Booties, Helmet and Gloves for Sledging.
Do I need previous experience?
No not at all. Kaitiaki Adventures will give all the training required and will assist you throughout the trip.
Do we Sledge over the 7m Waterfall?
No. We enter the river below the waterfall and sledge the garde3 section of the Kaituna River.
Can we drive ourselves to your base?
Yes, follow the signs to State highway30/Whakatane (past the Rotorua Airport). We are located 3kilometers from the Whakatane turnoff within the Hells Gate Thermal Reserve carpark.
Do you offer any combo packages?
Yes. We offer a Raft & Sledge combo for $185pp or we offer Combos with various Rotorua Adventure Activity Operators. Please visit www.rotoruacombos.com to view these options.
Are photos available of our rafting or sledging trip?
Yes. We will have an adventure photographer take photos of your experience which will be available to view and purchase on completion of your trip.
